'I want the audience to be immersed in the story'

Ben Jackson on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

Lewis Capaldi's brand new song 'Wish You The Best' is to be accompanied by a 'pop video' from a Leicestershire filmmaker. The video features a story around a man and his relationship with his pet dog, Willow. It's been written and directed by Phil Beastall, of Beastall films, based near Hinckley. Lewis Capaldi reached out to Phil as he wanted to pay homage to the legendary tale of Greyfriars Bobby who became known in 19th-century Edinburgh for spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner until he died. The video features the actor David Bradley from 'Harry Potter', 'Game of Thrones' and 'AfterLife' fame, as well as Tom Lewis from 'Gentleman Jack'. Phil explains to Ben Jackson the production effort that goes into making a video to go with a well written song.
