Bishop of Leicester protests against Asylum housing plans

The Bishop of Leicester is calling on the government to speed up the asylum system. The Right Rev'd Martin Snow has written to local MPs to protest at plans to house people claiming asylum at army barracks and on barges. He argues their health and wellbeing could be at risk if the plans go ahead. The Home Office says the welfare of asylum seekers is of the utmost importance.
