'We're doing what we can to help our polluted rivers'

Ben Jackson on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

Leicester's David Attenborough has been highlighting the plight of pollution in our rivers in his new series 'Wild Isles'. The Leicester based environmental charity 'UOcean' is hoping to reduce plastics in our waterways by installing their 'River Barrier Systems' across inland rivers in England - the first of these is planned for Leicester's Watermead Park in Thurmaston. Helen McCarthy went along to Watermead to meet Chris Desai, founder of UOcean, and worker Nikhil Mistry to see how they're tackling the issue.
