Boris Johnson clashes with MPs over Partygate denials

Paul Salt

Available for over a year

After answering questions for over three hours about lockdown parties in Downing Street, and whether he deliberately misled Parliament or not, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, like the rest of us, must wait and see what happens next? Mr Johnson swore “hand on heart, I did not lie to the House” as he fought to defend himself during questioning by MPs. Ironically, today is the three year anniversary of the introduction of the first lockdown in the UK. Lynn Sudbury-Riley is the co-author of a University of Liverpool report into the impact of Covid-related bereavement. Her father died at the beginning if the pandemic, three years ago. She told the BBC how she felt watching the proceedings.
