'What we've achieved couldn't happen without a mayor'

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

The future of Leicester's Elected Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby, is in the hands of city councillors. They're meeting to discuss whether to ditch the Mayoral system and instead run the council on a committee system. If they do so, we understand the Elected Mayor's term of office will end at the elections on May 4th and he will not be replaced. He told us why he thought the current system was working.
