Council meet to discuss removing City Mayor role

Leicester City Council's to meet next week to discuss whether to remove the role of the elected mayor. Five councillors - the two independents, two Conservatives as well as a current Labour councillor Jacky Nangreave have requested the meeting - to discuss a new model of governance at the council. Among them is the Conservative councillor for Evington, Deepak Bajaj.
