'We think there's still a need for face to face bank services in Rutland'

The cashpoint network 'Link' says that Rutland will soon become the first county in the country not to have a bank. A rise in online banking has led to many of the major institutions closing branches. There are concerns that older and vulnerable customers will struggle to access services. Bosses at 'Link' are calling for a banking hub allowing face to face banking on one or two days a week to be opened in Oakham. Nick Quinn, Head of Financial Inclusion at 'Link', explains that all the major High Street banks could share the same space.
