Free showers scheme to help those in need

More than 25 people have so far taken up the option of getting a free hot shower at south Essex leisure centres in a scheme called "Ask for Tommy". All people need to do is go along to a centre taking part in the scheme and ask for Tommy at the reception desk. It's all been made possible thanks to Everyone Active and the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System, who say a hot shower is important for those experiencing hard times in terms of their health and mental wellbeing.
