'People in Leicester still don't feel safe'

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

There are calls for a more visible police presence in East Leicester four months on from disorder which blighted the area. A promised review into clashes between Hindu and Muslim communities at the end of the summer is yet to get underway as the city mayor works to find an author acceptable to the communities involved. At the time, the Home Secretary Suella Braverman promised that those responsible would face "the full force of the law." Leicestershire police say that officers are meeting with communities and partners to respond to concerns. Rukhsana Hussain is a member of the City's Muslim Community and told Ady Dayman that reassurance is very important to people living and working in East Leicester.
