Available for over a year

New plans for a major renewable energy storage site in Leicestershire have been announced. Normanton Energy Reserve would be based close to Earl Shilton and could power 80 per cent of homes in Leicestershire for two hours, on one full charge. The company behind the proposals say that the site is a blueprint for co-locating energy with community green spaces and boosting biodiversity. It'll cost around 235 million pounds to build. Mark Rowcroft, from Exagen - the company behind the project, tells Ben Jackson how the project could work.
