With talks ongoing to avoid more strikes, the head of the nursing union has said that Rishi Sunak's openness to talks has offered a "chink of optimism" that a deal can be reached. It comes after weeks of delays and backlogs at A & E departments across the country and some trusts declaring critical incidents.
