Ukrainian mother living in Dorset campaigns for law change

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

A Ukrainian woman who's living in Poole is lobbying the government to change the law - to allow her to continue using her own vehicle even though it's registered in Ukraine. Tetiana used it to flee the war with her six-year-old daughter. But under current rules, cars with foreign plates can only be driven here for six months. Her host, former Dorset MP Dame Annette Brooke, has been helping Tetiana campaign for a change in the rules. BBC Radio Solent's Steve Harris has been speaking to both.
