The West Ham United Co-Chairman lived in Caterham for around 30 years. David Gold had a huge impact on the local area, including opening the gates of his large estate to the public, to raise money for local charities like St Catherine's hospice. James Cannon went out for a drive with David one day and of course - the conversation turned to football.
