At what remains a very busy time for hospitals in Leicester, there is a small army of volunteers behind the scenes making a difference. Around 200 people regularly give their time to NHS hospitals in Leicester. They help out with tasks such as assisting visitors navigate the hospitals' layout, making cups of tea, or talking to patients to help them settle into - what for many - is an unfamiliar environment. Alison Reynolds, the Volunteer Services Manager at the University Hospitals Leicester (UHL) and volunteer Peter Reid tell Ben Jackson more about what they do, and how they are helping.
