Rugby team 'the pride of St Helens'

Paul Salt

Available for over a year

You only have to read the slogan on their social media pages, to realise that Portico Vine Amateur Rugby League Club - isn't your average sports team. ‘The things to do for yourself are gone when you’re gone, but the things you do for others will forever be your legacy’. And it's very much a motto that the members of the St Helens club live by. For it’s not just about getting results on the pitch that matter most to staff and players – but what they do off it too. In just a short time, the club on Scholes Lane has become a lynch-pin for the local community - hosting numerous events bringing both younger and older residents together. David Hobin is the New Clubhouse Project Manager.
