A retired police and firearms officer who served for over 30 years for Leicestershire Police has received an award for his years of service. Eugene Kirby was born and raised in Leicester, to parents from the Windrush generation and made the decision to join the police in the early 80's. He's been telling Aminata Kamara his colleagues were very supportive, and remember him as being a great dancer and footballer - but also someone with an obsession with biscuits!
