Des Lynam was known to a generation as the host of the BBC’s Match of the Day and Grandstand programmes, and in 2004 he was hosting his own weekly Radio 5 Live series, Des Meets..., which saw him interview influential sporting personalities. In this episode, he sits down with David Beckham during his time as England captain and his four year stint with Real Madrid. Des talks to David about what it was like joining Madrid, returning to the game after recovering from injuries and plans for the future.
