Warm Banks offer help for heating

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

Leicester City Council is opening up a warm-bank at every library in the city. It's thought that warm-banks provide a safe space for people to come together during the winter season, allowing them to turn off their heating during the day. But it's not just in the City where that scheme is being rolled-out, with similars measures taking place across Leicestershire. The Leicestershire and Rutland Youth and Family service has recently launched a warm-bank in Mountsorrel. Organiser Anthony Marvin explains how they work.
