'I wish I had been more open'

Jo Bostock

Available for over a year

In 2017 George White came out as a transgender man and just a year later was hired as an RE teacher at his childhood secondary school, St. Paul’s in Evington. The 29-year-old has now become a pioneer, helping to bridge the gap between discussions surrounding the LGBT community and religion. George did not grow up Catholic but he admitted that seeing his friends so immersed in the faith made him want to convert. He now uses his own experiences to help children who may be struggling with their gender identity.
