Council boss apologises to Thurrock residents

The acting leader of Thurrock Council has said sorry to the people of the borough for the financial mess the council has found itself in. The council has debt of £1.4 billion and there's uncertainty over hundreds of millions of pounds of investments. Conservative Councillor Mark Coxshall says they are still assessing the size of the challenge, and admits to BBC Essex that Thurrock Council may or may not have a future.
