Diwali lights switch on

The event which attracts people from all over the city, county and UK and is the largest Diwali celebrations outside of India. This is the first full celebration in the city since the pandemic, with 2020's celebrations being a digital-only event and 2021 having coronavirus restrictions still in place. This year's festivities saw a stage return to Belgrave Road for a programme of live entertainment, as well as the famous Diwali fireworks lighting up the night's sky as thousands of people watched on.
