Coventry provides safe haven for Ukrainians

Trish Adudu on BBC CWR

Available for over a year

Iryna King says around 100 people have fled Ukraine and moved to Coventry. She has told BBC CWR that they're receiving support, as Vladimir Putin says he will send around three hundred thousand military reservists to Ukraine, in a "partial mobilisation" of Russian forces. The escalation comes as four occupied regions of Ukraine are due to hold unrecognised referendums on whether to become part of Russia. Many people in Coventry are worried, and the Ukrainian community is trying to assist those moving to the Midlands. Iryna King has been talking to BBC CWR presenter Trish Adudu.
