HM King Charles III responds to messages of condolence in Hillsborough Castle, on his first Royal Visit to Northern Ireland. He said that Queen Elizabeth II “felt deeply the significance of the role she has played in bringing together those who history had separated, and extending a hand to make possible the healing of long-held hurts,” and that “she prayed for the best of times, for this place and it’s people, whose stories she knew, whose sorrows our family and felt, and for whom she had a great affection and regard.”
