A new Minor Injuries Unit, striking nurses and the new Covid jabs - UHCW's Chief Exec speaks to BBC CWR

CWR Breakfast with Phil Upton

Available for over a year

The boss of Coventry's University Hospital has told BBC CWR a new minor injuries unit will free up space at their A and E. The new unit has 15 beds for people with illnesses and injuries that need to be seen, but aren't emergencies. It's hoped it'll also mean ambulance waiting times at the A and E are reduced too with 90 patients a day already being sent to the Minor Injuries Unit. Professor Andy Hardy has been speaking to Rich Williams about the new unit, plus contingency plans if nurses go on strike this winter and what we can expect from this winter's Covid jabs.
