The UK has become the first country in the world to approve a Covid vaccine which targets the Omicron variant as well as the original virus. The decision by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency means the new Moderna vaccine will be available during the autumn booster programme. BBC Essex's Ian Wyatt spoke to Mark Fielder who is a Professor in Medical Microbiology at Kingston University.
