“It’s going to be spent on improving our bus service”

The Government is giving Derbyshire County Council 47 million pounds to fund improvements to local bus services. The funding will be spent across the next two and half year, although the authority originally asked for twice as much. It says the money will help fund more frequent buses and better punctuality. Councillor Kewal Singh Atwal is the cabinet member for highways assets and transport, he’s been speaking to BBC Radio Derby’s Ian Skye.
