Stories of Leicester's past uncovered

Ben Jackson on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

Leicester Cathedral has been at the centre of the life of Leicester for at least a thousand years and probably much longer. So as part of the current renovations, an archaeological dig is taking place to preserve that history and recover so many stories that have been lost to time. So far over 400 skeletal remans have been uncovered, throwing a little light onto the people who've been here before us and how they lived their lives. Ben met lead Archaeologist Mathew Morris to hear the stories of two of those individuals they've been able to name: Anne Barrett and Joseph Wright.
