St. Roses School in Stroud's annual awards

Faye Hatcher

Available for over a year

The end of another academic year, and for some of our children they might be moving up a year, going to big school, graduating from college or uni or starting their first job or apprenticeship. St. Roses school in Stroud had their annual awards evening the other week. It's a chance to recognise exceptional work and progress made by students there, but also an opportunity to say goodbye to those leaving the school forever. The school delivers education, therapy and day and residential care for children and young adults with a wide range of disabilities. Faye Hatcher went along to the awards and caught up with Principal Sheila Talwar, who explained it's been a busy and rewarding year, with record student numbers coming through the doors, but they face many challenges ahead.
