Dementia is something that not only affects the individual but family and friends too. Writer Val Ormrod from Alvington near Lydney, cared for her father with the condition for 6 years and kept a journal throughout this time. She then turned this into a book 'In My Father's Memory' and over the last couple of years, writer and director Adele Cordner has adapted it into a play called 'My Favourite Dog'.
