"I feel honoured": Gurkha veteran Om Gurung carries the baton in Nuneaton

Om Gurung has taken part in the Queen’s Baton Relay in his adopted hometown of Nuneaton. He's raised huge amounts of money for the Gurkha and Nepalese community, and for local charities, and was awarded the MBE in 1997 for playing a significant role in organising the handover of Hong Kong from UK to China. Om carried the baton through Riversley Park in Nuneaton, just days before the start of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
