Pride Conversation: Coming out to my parents

Stuart George

Available for over a year

Em who's 31 and queer and her Dad Robert who's in his 60s talk about how they navigate her sexuality and gender identity. She came out as a lesbian in her late teens, and then again as abrosexual and gender fluid, which means both her sexuality and the gender she identifies change. In an open conversation with Stuart George, Rob describes his attitude towards Em being LGBTQ+ and openness to learn about the community, and Em talks about how that support allowed her to always be herself. This 'Pride Conversation' is part of a special series on BBC Radio Stoke to mark 50 years of the Pride movement in the UK.
