Kangaroos found far from home in India

Newsday

Available for over a year

Residents of a small Indian village were shocked this month when they came across some unusual animals - a troop of kangaroos. The animals looked nothing like anything they had seen before and alerted West Bengal state's forest officials. Since then, videos of the creatures hopping around have spread across social media. But how did the Australian marsupials end up in India? Newsday spoke to Shubhobroto Ghosh from Wildlife Projects Manager for World Animal Protection in India.
