Latest News Picks

Available for over a year

Until fairly recently, Ncuti Gatwa was a relative unknown. He was born in Rwanda and raised in Scotland, where his family moved when he was two during the 1994 genocide. There were times - before landing his breakthrough role in the Netflix show Sex Education in 2018 - that he was homeless. At the beginning of 2019, before the release of the first season of Sex Education - he had fewer than a thousand followers on Instagram. That figure is now more than two and a half million - an indicator of his stratospheric rise to fame. Now, he's landed a new role - the 14th Doctor Who - a move that seems to have energised not just the avid fans of TV's longest running sci-fi show.
