RNLI "Mayday Mile" appeal

Southend-on-Sea has the busiest coastal lifeboat station in the country, which launched 147 times last year to rescue people in trouble. BBC Essex speaks to Jack Lidster-Woolf, a volunteer RNLI crew member at Southend, along with Nick Elmore who is the Southend RNLI station chairman, and hears more about the Mayday Mile fundraiser which is launched today (Thurs 21 April).
