Leicester actor, writer and film maker Jassa Ahluwalia has appeared in TV shows including Peaky Blinders, Some Girls and Unforgotten. He's been speaking to BBC Radio Leicester presenter Summaya Mughal about his journey of identity. Growing up, Jassa never questioned his mixed heritage but after moving away from Leicester, he began to struggle with, and therefore explore, his sense of belonging. This led to the BBC One documentary 'Am I English'. He’s been sharing his story with Summaya.
