The National Trust has a new stretch of the Surrey Hills, at Ranmore Common, near Dorking. Katherine Mills, spoke to James about Ashcombe Woods. Featuring a mix of native broadleaf woodland that forms part of the Ranmore Common Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The land will be united with 450 acres of Ranmore Common, which the conservation charity has owned since 1959, as part of the Polesden Lacey estate.
