Antony Loveless and partner Claire Hooper say that prior to long covid, they were "fit, driven, dynamic people" who had "full lives and busy careers." Antony says long covid has "ravaged our immune systems", leaving him immuno-compromised and Claire housebound for more than a year. It comes as BBC Essex learns that nearly 2,200 people have been treated in long covid clinics in Essex since they opened, although experts say the number of people affected is expected to be far higher as many are suffering in silence.
