Chesney Hawkes surprises superfan fundraising for adopted diabetic chimp

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

Popstar Chesney Hawkes has thanked one of his superfans, who's walking around 500 miles to raise money for Monkey World near Wareham. The singer-songwriter recorded a special message for Lesley Dunn, who's doing the challenge solely on her 60-foot driveway, listening only to music by Chesney and his dad Chip, who was in the band The Tremeloes. She's raising money for the Dorset ape rescue centre, where her 14-year-old adopted diabetic chimpanzee Bart lives, to help with the cost of his insulin.
