Washed-up spiny seahorse saved by dog walker in Poole

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

A Poole resident has been praised for saving a spiny seahorse which had washed up on her local beach. Patience Saunders spotted it on the shoreline at Alum Chine whilst out walking her dog on New Year's Day. She says she felt compelled to do something to help it, so Patience contacted The Seahorse Trust who advised her on how, and where, to release it back into the water. Our Dorset breakfast show presenter, Steve Harris, spoke to both Patience and Neil Garrick-Maidment, who's Founder and Executive Director of The Seahorse Trust.
