Train operators struggle with staff shortages

Hospitals and schools are among the places having problems with staffing due to Covid isolation at the moment but they're not the only ones... Many of our train operators have issued warnings about cancellations and reduced services. Merseyrail says it's operating an amended timetable "until further notice" while Northern and Avanti West Coast are urging people to check before they travel for the latest information. The Rail Delivery Group says almost one in 10 rail workers are off at the moment. Sim Harris is Managing Editor for Rail News.
