Hollywood helps former Dorset paramedic make 'more lifelike' medical manikins

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

If you've ever been on a first aid course you'll be familiar with the Annie doll, the manikin used to teach you CPR. But her name is probably the only realistic thing about her. A former Dorset paramedic has decided to create much more lifelike dummies to be used in medical training. David Halliwell joined forces with a colleague to produce a range of ethnically diverse manikins, from babies to older people that are used throughout the world.
