Using a special technology called Sign Live, which involves the services of an interpreter, Rita has been able to be interviewed on BBC CWR by presenter Vic Minett. A subject close to Vic's heart as her mother Agnes who sadly passed away recently was also deaf, but who, no doubt would have enjoyed the success and impact Rose is having in the competition. Rita explains during the conversation how attitudes towards her have been more positive as a result of the increasing awareness people have for others in the deaf community.
