Steve Harris

Available for over a year

The twenty-first century has seen the largest refugee crisis the world has ever experienced. And now a group of students from the Arts University Bournemouth is making a film about one fictional refugee based on a true story. Beyond the Blue is a short production telling the story of Jamal, two years after fleeing his home in war torn Syria for Europe. BBC Radio Solent reporter Laurence Herdman has been to meet four of the team from the film school - Batool Hindess, Beatriz Carvalho, Joe Crisp and Callum Lindsay - to hear about the inspiration for the film, the challenges they're facing creating it..
