"Being mixed-race, I never truly felt like I belonged to a community."

Sandra Godley

Available for over a year

Speaking to Sandra Godley, the Coventry-born West End theatre performer speaks about growing up in Coventry with an African-Indian father and Irish mother. Despite being part of a large extended family, he found it difficult to feel like he belonged. With a love for music and performance, after seeing a mixed-race actor cast in the lead role of a Christmas pantomime, he felt inspired to follow his dreams to perform and says it’s a privilege to be seen as a role model for others. Liam has performed in West End shows including Wicked, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and Hairspray. He's been nominated for Best Male Actor in a Musical Award for his performance in The Prince Of Egypt, Dominion Theatre. The award ceremony takes place on November 21st.
