Hundreds gather in Birmingham to protest over homophobic attacks

Elise Evans on BBC Radio WM

Available for over a year

Around three hundred people joined a solidarity protest against homophobia in Birmingham last night. The event was organised after a string of violent attacks in the city. The latest was on 38 year old John-Paul Kesseler who had a wine bottle thrown at his head - just because he was holding hands with a man whilst walking home.
