Blind runner helped by marathon hero

Jimmy Carpenter

Available for over a year

Haseeb Ahmad, from Leicester, is a blind Ironman world record holder, is in the Disability Power 100 list and his day job is working as a local government adviser. So you can imagine not much stops him in his tracks. But when his guide got injured 18 miles into the Manchester Marathon he was in a bit of trouble... that was until Stuart Whitehouse from Leeds stepped in. Haseeb and Stuart told BBC Radio Leicester’s Jimmy Carpenter what happened next.
