Black History Month: A taste of Nigeria to Boscombe

Lucy Ambache

Available for over a year

We are celebrating Black History Month this October, sharing stories, experiences and achievements from the black community in the South. Chef, restauranteur, entrepreneur Prince Ogbugi moved to Dorset in 2004. He founded the Nativ restaurant in Boscombe, with his wife Dorothy, in 2009. Over the years it has become a high street brand in Bournemouth, winning multiple awards, and they have even begun manufacturing Nativ sauce for sale across the UK. The entrepreneur has now expanded the Dorset business to Southampton, recently opening a cocktail bar called MBuntu.
