Artist paints incredible sporting mural at Coalville pub while working night shifts at supermarket

Summaya Mughal

Available for over a year

An artist called Tomas Villarosa has created an incredible sporting mural at a Coalville pub which covers the whole of the back wall. Tomas took only two weeks to paint the impressive artwork. The design originally depicted Gareth Southgate's England team to mark this year’s Euro 2020 tournament final and also the 1966 World Cup win. But then punters at the pub asked if he could incorporate Leicester City and Coalville Town on to the wall. Tomas worked on the design while the pub was closed to customers and while also working night shifts at Morrisons in Coalville. BBC Radio Leicester’s Summaya Mughal went to meet with Tomas and Landlady Sal at The Engineers Arms to see his work of art in person.
