Watersports trust in memory of Weymouth schoolboy celebrates ten years as official charity

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

In 2008, Will Mackaness - who'd just turned 16 - died on his GCSE results day, after bravely battling an aggressive brain tumour. Following Will's death, a trust was set up in his memory, spearheaded by his mum Pam Govier who's a teacher at the Wey Valley School in Weymouth. This year, it's celebrating a decade since becoming an official charity. Our reporter, Charlotte Foot, has been along to one of their watersports sessions to meet Pam, along with students Chloe and Anna, and windsurfing instructors Lucy and Lily.
