Steve Harris

Available for over a year

After almost 20 years - the war in Afghanistan is over. The conflict - which began as the 'war against terror, post 9/11 - was the longest in American history. The last US flight left Afghanistan around midnight local time - ending nearly twenty years of western allied forces operating in the country. Andy Price is a veteran from Weymouth. He served on three tours of Afghanistan with the Rifles in the British Army and later worked in private security at the British Embassy in Kabul. Andy shared his memories of his time in Afghanistan with BBC Radio Solent - and his fears for the friends he made.
